Below article highlights the direction we have been headed for the past 30+ years. In the early 70's we changed the labeling laws to allow for imitation foods to no longer have the word imitation highlighted on the label. during this same period we changed our medical payment plan focus from a pay as you go system to insurance then the tax payer insurance (shifting the burden to a shared system then to a shared on future generations system...isn't sharing wonderful!) . Both of these policy changes occured during the Nixon years.

We keep emailing and faxing our fearless representatives...the problem is beyond any one singe issue and faxing and emailing will not stem the tide.

Action Alert — Now the FDA Is Going After Vitamin C!

WE NEED TO CONTACT CONGRESS --- and tell them to rein in the FDA!!

'The FDA has just notified small pharmacies that they will no longer be allowed to manufacture or distribute injectable vitamin C —
despite its remarkable power to heal conditions that conventional medicine can’t touch.
Please help reverse this outrageous decision!

Let’s get this straight. The government acknowledges the risk of a worldwide flu pandemic.
It acknowledges that conventional drugs cannot cure big viruses-like the mononucleosis and hepatitis viruses, many influenza viruses, and many others. It acknowledges that many bacteria have become resistant to antibiotics and are killing increasing thousands.
It acknowledges the risk of a worldwide drug-resistant TB pandemic.

Despite acknowledging all this, it now insists on wiping out one of the best potential treatments for these conditions and for certain cancers as well.
And why is this being done? What possible rationale is offered?
Because it’s dangerous?
No. Because it can’t be patented and therefore won’t be taken through the standard FDA approval process.
No matter that vitamin C is one of the least toxic components of our food supply and liquid forms of it have been used safely for decades.'

However, have you considered that this is the FDA's job -- protecting the consumer from potentially unsafe and possibly fraudulent products? I am a pharmacist and there is NO WAY I would purchase a compounded injectable unless it followed the FDA's guidelines. Even if the product were to contain the active ingredients in the concentrations claimed (there are many many cases of compounding pharmacies not producing the product as claimed) the manufacturing techniques used could potentially harm the user. ____ has to do with trust. the FDA (as our entire alphabet government and standard government, has regularly lied to us. he FDA is a revolving door of business/corporate leaders watching out for one another. Ever hear of the Donald Rumsfeld story. He is part of Reagans presidential transition team. The FDA was about to rule on nutra-sweet that it is a known carcinogen. On the night of the inauguration he called the head of the FDA and fired him and called the second in command and told him to hold off on the decision. The new board members were assigned and nutra-sweet was approved. Donald Rumsfeld was a lobbyist for this industry. my understanding is he received 12 million once nutra-sweet was approved...
