I had a discussion with a customer on this topic and i thought i would share a conclusion.
The discussion revolved around the FCLO products not being the same from batch to batch. Some have different colors, some have different odors., textures ect.... An example is the most current batch of FCLO Non-Flavored. It has an odor .. something like tuna fish. Other batches have an odor more like sardines or some very little odor. I personally like the current odor. But others that are used to other batches might not know what to think. I even appreciate the taste of the latest batch, but again, not everyone has the same tastes, likes dislikes etc...
"odor, yes, every batch will be different, the color can vary and even the texture can/will change. This is an artisan process not a industrial process/product. This is the way it will always be... some variability.
I fully understand throughout our industrialized world this concept is not common nor is everyone intune with why this type of process is important. Green Pasture Products will not compromise the integrity of the product through uniformity (heavy industrial processes) as we fully know these same processes that make products more comfortable also destroy the real nutrient integrity of the product. Yes, industrial processes make the product more marketable but it does not make the product better. From our perspective, todays industrial processes do not improve the product where it counts, nutrient integrity. I do know most companies value marketing over nutrient integrity so I understand where some customers struggle to understand. We live in a very comfortable/convenient society. "
