If you are looking for outstanding quality beef products I highly recommend Jerry and Kathy Gotschall's . They are neighbors of mine and have a fantastic location in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. The Sand Hills enable the Gotschall's to provide our community with nutrient rich beef that is 100% grass fed and tender/sweet to the taste. The trick is to have lush pasture to finish the beef and this requires rapidly growing grass. The Sand Hills is situated 6ft above the ogallalla aquifer so the grass roots hang down in to the aquifer. And for nutrient rich beef one needs nutrient rich soils and a mixture of plants, hard grass, and lush grass. There is no better combination of the elements to raise the best 100% grass beef than in the Sand Hills of Nebraska.
There is a reason why the Buffalo were centered in this part of the country.
