I’ve needed to wear glasses since my very early childhood, but I’ve never done anything for my eyes except obediently get my yearly exam and leave with a stronger prescription than the one before. That habit abruptly stopped last year when I was visited with a serious inflammation in my left eye. The sudden redness and severe pain in my eyeball sent me to a top specialist, and after the examination he prescribed steroid drops. He also suggested I’d need them for the rest of my life, as what I had was an incurable disorder—but since steroids are damaging in the long run, I’d need to use them cautiously.
Please join us in attending a very special 2-day symposium this May 11-12, 2015 featuring two renowned international speakers for an event titled: "Understanding the Tooth-Body Connection and the Holistic Approach in Health Management." Part of the lecture will touch on Dr. Weston A. Price’s contribution to Biological Dentistry & Integrative Medicine.
The soft tissues in your mouth are an extension of your gastrointestinal tract. Your mouth is like the first tee in a golf game; like the coming attractions before the movie starts in the theater; like the entrance to Disney World. It’s where it all begins.
As a periodontist, I have been treating gum disease for 41 years. The traditional methods of treating gum disease have rarely included the concepts of healthy nutrition based on our evolutionary requirements. For my patients, I include the methods of assisting all the body’s cells to reach their peak nutritional performance along with my treatment of gum disease through patient-friendly techniques.
There is a relationship between the gums, the gut, and Paleo. Let me describe this correlation.
Your gastrointestinal tract is a tube about 25 feet long. The tissues lining the entire length of this tube from the mouth to the anus can and will respond in their own way to whatever occurs along this path.
Once you take the first bite of food, digestion begins. Assisting digestion are the teeth that chew the food, the muscles that move the food along, the enzymes and chemicals that are produced to breakdown the food, the friendly bacteria that further digest food particles and produce necessary biochemicals, and the absorption processes that allow the dissolved nutrients to migrate into the bloodstream to nourish every cell of the body. Whatever is left over from this digestion process is excreted.
If there were irritants to the gut from the foods we ate, damage to the lining of the gut and increase in unhealthy bacteria could occur. The result could be unhealthy particles of food and bacteria entering the bloodstream creating chronic inflammation. This inflammation and increase in unhealthy gut bacteria affect the entire body as well as the health of the gum tissues. Their pathways increase the potential for gum disease as well as increase unhealthy bacteria in the mouth. Unhealthy bacteria in the mouth and further insult from ingestion of unhealthy carbohydrates will cause gum disease.
Paleo is a lifestyle. A Paleo way of eating may go under various titles. It is sometimes called a primal diet, or an ancestral diet, or a caveman diet. There are no specific foods that make up a Paleo diet. The common denominator is that all these dietsDO NOT include processed foods or processed sugars or conventionally fed and farmed animal products or processed fats and oils. A Paleo diet avoids these unhealthy foods, which often lead to damage in the gut, increase in unhealthy gut bacteria, and eventually damage in the gum tissues.
To come full circle, a Paleo diet, which excludes all these bad foods, can maintain a healthy gut in addition to healing a damaged gut. A Paleo diet can help maintain gum health.
So the importance of Paleo is that its nutrient-dense foods will allow the gut to function properly. A healthy gut will allow nutrients to be absorbed properly and will maintain a healthy community of gut bacteria. All this assists the gum tissues in remaining healthy.

There appears to be a continued public misconception (encouraged by the supplement industry) that free radicals are bad, and that antioxidants are good. Of course, like most phenomena affecting our health, it’s not that simple.
Free radicals are molecules or atoms containing an unpaired electron. Unpaired electrons are attention seekers. They really don’t like being alone, so are always searching out other electrons. This makes them highly reactive. Free radicals are like the unstable friend who shows up drunk to the party and starts breaking things. Antioxidants are molecules that are able to donate an electron to the free radical, thus stabilizing it. They’re like the patient friend who is able to convince the free radical not to drive home, takes him to the back room to calm him down, and brings him water and a bucket once he starts throwing up.
Needless to say, without the presence of antioxidants, free radicals can really ruin the party. The cellular damage that results is called oxidative stress, and is associated with ageing, heart failure, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and many other health problems.
Until recently, the thinking had been that the more antioxidants, the less oxidative stress, because all of those lonely electrons would quickly get paired up before they had the chance to start mucking things up in our cells. But that thinking has changed.
“Free radicals are not really the bad ones or antioxidants the good ones.” Villanueva told me. Their paper explains the process by which antioxidants themselves become reactive, after donating an electron to a free radical. But, in cases when a variety of antioxidants are present, like the way they come naturally in our food, they can act as a cascading buffer for each other as they in turn give up electrons to newly reactive molecules.
“For instance,” Villanueva said, “chocolate has more than 20 antioxidant flavonoids. One is converted into a free radical and becomes reactive, but less reactive [than the first]. It then reacts with another, and that one is less reactive and so on and so forth, and all of them react with each other, decreasing the damage that would be happening to our lipids, or proteins or DNA”
Source: Villanueva & Kross, 2012
If there is only one type of antioxidant present, say in the case of a high-dose vitamin C supplement, then there are no other antioxidants to provide that protective cascade effect. Then you could end up with a bunch of reactive vitamin C, which itself can cause what they call “antioxidant stress.”

Fish Oil Oxidation

Marine oils have long been recognized as having health benefits and that mind set is still true today. Modern consumers, in addition to recognizing health benefits, are also concerned about the overall safety of the oils both for themselves and for their loved ones. How does one know if oil is “safe” and does it contain chemicals or chemical breakdown products that may be detrimental? Modern day analytical methods and instrumentation can determine the type and amount of fatty acids in the oil and medical science has established certain health benefits with select fatty acids.
From a strictly biochemical aspect, fats are composed of fatty acids and glycerol. Fatty acids are long-chained organic molecules that can be classified as saturated, monounsaturated, or polyunsaturated. Saturated fatty acids are composed of carbon atoms bonded to the next carbon atom all with single bonds. A mono-unsaturated fatty acid is also composed of carbon atoms bonded together, but two of the carbon atoms have a double bond which is denoted as - C = C -. A polyunsaturated fatty acid has two or more sets of carbon atoms with double bonds and could be denoted as - C = C – C = C -. The number and location of the double bonds affect the physical composition of the fat. If fatty acids with multiple double bonds are present, the fatty acids result in liquid oil while if the fatty acids are all saturated, the material would be a solid. Plant or vegetable oils contain monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fatty acids and are liquid in nature while animal fats, which generally contain unsaturated fatty acids, are solid.

Today, there is a 47 percent prevalence rate of periodontitis among adults in the United States. Periodontitis is the advanced stage of gum disease, where not only are the gums infected but the bone surrounding the roots of the teeth is infected and breaking down. For those who are over 65 years old, the prevalence rate jumps to 70 percent.
I have been a periodontist (a dentist who specializes in gum disease) for forty years. For the first thirty-five years, I treated advanced gum diseases the way most periodontists do: by performing traditional gum surgery, which was somewhat successful but relatively uncomfortable for patients. Several years ago, I learned a better way for my patients. In 2010, I became licensed in a laser procedure called LANAP® (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) that kills harmful bacteria, helps grow new bone, and creates overall better results without the use of a scalpel or sutures. Most important, patients don’t experience the pain or swelling that has been part of traditional gum surgery.
In 2013, I started to become educated about the importance of ancestral nutrition and nutrient-dense foods, and how they affect dental and overall health. I attended a five-day nutrition course for health professionals, held at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and, several months later, a four-day Food As Medicine conference. This education was life changing for me and has been life changing for many of my patients. I personally became reenergized, and I reengineered my periodontal practice.
With all this new information pertaining to lifestyle, I also wanted to know what science had to say about nutrient-dense, unprocessed foods specifically for gum disease. I researched PubMed, which is the U.S. National Library of Medicine’s database of published medical research from around the world. I found one study regarding gum disease and Paleolithic nutritionand several recent studies involving nutrition and gum disease. However, I could find no studies on how specific nutrient-dense foods affected the progress of gum disease. So, in March of 2014, I decided to create a study using my own patients who wished to be a part of my research. I enlisted the help of Ramiel Nagel, researcher and author of Cure Tooth Decay, who designed the study with me. Now my research is completed, and the results are in.
Selection of Patients The specific criteria for patient selection were:
• The patient could not have been on any antibiotic during the last three months.
• The patient had not undergone active gum treatment (including deep cleaning or a general cleaning by the hygienist) in the last three months.
• Infected gum pockets (the spaces between the gum and tooth) bled when a periodontal probe (a gum-pocket measuring instrument) was gently inserted into the gum space.
• The gum pockets had a depth of at least 4 mm (1-3 mm without any bleeding while being measured with a periodontal probe is considered healthy).
• No more than four individual teeth per patient who met the criteria were selected for the study.
• Participants were instructed not to change any habits, lifestyle activities, dietary regimens, or medications during the course of the thirty-day study.
Results We selected thirteen patients who met the criteria above for the study. They agreed to take a variety of nutrient-dense real food supplements for thirty days to find out if these supplements would be effective in reducing some of their manifestations of gum disease. I examined and measured 41 teeth within this group of thirteen patients.
I gave these patients three different nutrient-dense food supplements in capsule form, containing various micronutrients, which they took almost every day. The micronutrients are identified in websites referenced below. A synergistic effect exists from taking this combination of supplements.
Here are the doses for each of the supplements:
• 8 capsules of Green Pasture’s blend of fermented cod liver oil with high vitamin butter oil
• 2 capsules of Green Pasture’s fermented skate liver oil

I'm excited to introduce and offer this book give away. I was first introduced to Dr. Mikovits work at the Autism One conference this past summer. She passionately described her effort to disclose her finding of unintended retro viruses in vaccines.
Vaccines are a current hot topic this is great timing to introduce Dr. Mikovits work, "Plague" to our community.
"Plague," by Kent Heckenlively, JD and Judy Mikovits, PHD
A compelling true story filled with groundbreaking scientific research, legal drama, and landmark scientific and political ramifications.
On July 22, 2009, a special meeting was held with twenty-four leading scientists at the National Institutes of Health to discuss early findings that newly discovered retrovirus was linked to chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), prostate cancer, lymphoma, and eventually neurodevelopmental disorders in children. When Dr. Judy Mikovits finished her presentation, the room was silent for a moment, then one of the scientists said, "Oh my God!" The resulting investigation would be like no other in science.
For Dr. Mikovits, a twenty-year veteran of the National Cancer Institute, this was the midpoint of a five-year journey that would start with the founding of the Whittemore Peterson Institute for Neuro-Immune Disease at the University of Nevada, Reno, and end with her as a witness for the federal government again her former employer, Harvey Whittemore, for illegal campaign contributions to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
On this journey Dr. Mkovits would face the scientific prejudices against ME/CFS, wander into the minefield that is autism, and through it all struggle to maintain her faith in God and the profession to which she had dedicated her life. This is a story for anybody interested in the peril and promise of science at the very highest levels in our country.
"Judy Mikovits was unshakable in her convictions and harsh on her critics whom she considered biased, occasionally dishonest, and often ill-informed. She was a charming advocate of patients. Startlingly for a scientist, she even consorted with them, seeking them out and befriending them, once posting her personal email address prominently to the blogosphere. Her rationale was not just humane but utterly reasonable: her understanding of this disease arose from patients and their histories and she formulated hypotheses for scientific experiments based on what she heard and observed. The ancient Greeks would have lauded Mikovits for her methods, but in the twenty-first century, she was an oddball.
Certainly, there was little doubt that Mikovits was a different kind of scientist, on who didn't seek the approval of the top guns at the NIH and who wasn't afraid to upbraid scientists at the CDC whether via email of in person. Indeed, she had a quality of fierceness rarely seen in science."

By popular demand another video. Enclosed are part 1 and 2 video of fermented food taste testing followed by taste/odor study documents. Click on to start video and see documents. The documents will be a full amine, pH, TBA discussion on all the fermented foods brought in for tasting.
The study is a one point in time discussion and has no statistical significance. All markers reported have to do with industries attempt to describe the ferment and taste/odor experience. None of these markers are food safety discussion points. All these foods are not only food safe but are very likely as nutrient dense as any you will find on earth.
From my observation the flavor profile variations of our oils have been less pronounced the past two to three years compared to 3-6 years ago. I think the ferment starter we have developed overtime has assisted in the reduction of the products flavor profile. I guess similar to perfecting a cheese culture.
We did not include the wine/vinegar/balsamic vinegar in the video as we only had so much time. The report is included. Interesting, the oxidation marker for the balsamic vinegar is very high as a % of fat, 122-165 TBA. Dr. Jie shared with me that in China the very dark and thick vinegars are regularly consumed for health.
The rancid/toxic markers that are routinely checked for in the industry, as related to human health, are aldehydes and their conjugated hydroperoxydiene precursors. Our oils have been checked once and there are none, as expected. These products are a result of high heating of oils and our oils are not heated so these compounds are not a concern.
For test results please view the following documents:
We do not spend the dollars very often on these tests as the tests do not tell a proper story nor do we fully agree with the standardization of the industrial oils industry using these parameters to define quality. But every now and then we get questions. Here are the last tests we have done on the different defining parameters described by Dr. Jie... (FYI we need oxygen to live... the free radical theory is false :) )
Fyi, we have completed a two year study on peroxide previously posted
Here are the sum of today's topic.
1) Our product is unique. It is fermented and using the industrial standards to evaluate it is unfair and inappropriate. We do not measure the oxidative stability because we think it is unnecessary for our products. We do not use any heat, chemicals to refine/purify our products; the products are the way it should be. And the test results have proved the oxidation is not as high as someone thought. The PV was less 4.5 mEq/kg at the initial measurement and the P-Anisidine value was 11.02. The TBARS was just 2.35 mg/kg. The numbers are pretty low and I do not think it can become an issue. We do not want to add any additives in our products and we want it to be produced in the natural way.

Hello, over time we have shared studies and discussion on Vitamin D. Here are some bullet points to recap followed by a few new discussion points presented by Dr. Jie
+ Vitamin D is plentiful in the sea. Vitamin D originates at the base of the food chain as both D2 and D3 in zoo and phyto plankton. Discussion located in blog posted January 2014 titled Food Chain as Origin of Vitamin D in Fish
+We routinely test our fclo for D2/D3 but we also went through the expense to have our oils tested using the rat bio assay. The lab fed our fclo to rats and measured bone growth/density to confirm not only are there molecules floating around but they are active in fuction. Our products were very active with vitamin D affect. The scientist who did the work taught me much on the subject. One paraphrase I will not forget; 'All the vitamin D testing is meaningless. The only way to test vitamin D is to feed it to rats! Rats don't lie! ' In other words... count all the molecules you want. Counting molecules does not equate to results.
+As commonly known within the fishery industry and referenced to Fishery By-Products Technology "Fish oil, especially cod liver oil, is the best natural source of vitamin D2"..... click icon at bottom of artcile to continue
Below is short discussion provided by Dr. Jie on Vitamin D2 vs D3. He is working on a couple papers of interest to the group and this discussion will be part of his work but in much more detail.
I just quickly searched some scientific papers and found something interesting. The argument of "Vitamin D3 is better than Vitamin D2," is really meaningless. If they have different function, or if Vitamin D2 has not bio-activities, how can it be given a name as Vitamin D?
Here is something from USDA:
Major metabolic steps involved with the metabolism D2 are similar to those of the metabolism of D3. Vitamin D without a subscript represents either D2 or D3 or both and is biologically inert, requiring two obligate hydroxylations to form its biologically active hormone, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25(OH)2D) (DeLuca, 1988; Reichel et al., 1989).
I think people would like to concentrate on Vitamin D3 is due to it can be synthesized in the skin. But remember, the bio-active hormone is 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D, which comes from both Vitamin D2 and D3.
"I Don't know a more nutrient dense food than Fermented Cod Liver Oil...Hundreds of thousands of molecular structures. It is Beyond a label discussion"
I have had about 6 identical questions in the past wk so my guess is someone is blogging about our product from a perspective of not understanding the product or simply intentionally misleading. People do make mistakes so I hope it is such rather than misleading with intent to confuse people. In past, when we have seen this type of activity, it is usually tied to selling something else. Oh what a surprise :).
If you have someone questioning Fermented Cod Liver Oil it might be as simple as thinking it through. We are doing nothing more than your gut would do to digest the liver for you. IF you are afraid of your natural digestive system then, and only then, should you be concerned about fermented cod liver oil. We are predigesting the livers with similar process of your digestive system. This makes the oil an essence of the whole liver and more available and nutritive than eating/digesting the liver itself. In addition we are learning to age the Fermented Cod Liver Oil. Maybe some day we will label with vintage years :)
I had one wholesale customer who contacted me saying that another sales person selling other products told him our products had FFA (free fatty acid) in them. My reply was 'I hope so'. Most industrialized oils will prop their products up and make claim statements on how low the ffa is in their product. But in fact this is a weakness. Industrialized oils need to keep ffa as low as possible because the process itself creates a product that if ffa is not controlled the product will be in poor condition and have a horrible or pungent smell. Industrial produced oils are completely different than fermenting the liver and have a completely different set of defining parameters. You can not look at both through the same eyes. You will continually get the wrong answers because the question is wrong. This might be how a blogger can make a honest mistake rather than intentionally misleading.
FFA is actually healthful for us. It is key for blood sugar management and other benefits........ click article to continue

Kent Fry; friend, neighbor and broad based successful multi generational farmer, had heard about applying raw milk to the soil but never gave it much thought. Conventional farming is low margin and high risk. There is no room for error.
His farm is broad based, milk cows, beef cows, row crops , pasture and hay fields.
About 2 months ago he had a milk compressor go down. The milk company would not take his milk as it did not cool properly. Rather than cry over warm milk (pun intended :)) he took the milk from the bulk tank and spread it on a large alfalfa field.
A few wks later he returned to the field to start the process for timing the chopping of the field. He was not sure what he was looking at. He had to get down from his 4-wheeler and look at the plants. He was not sure it was really alfalfa. He had never seen leaves so large. There were leaves larger than a quarter. And looking under the plant there were no leaves sloughing off. It was very thick from top to bottom of the plant.
Below is an important book/discussion. Years ago GPP used to add an anti-oxidant to our oils. I was continually challenged by practitioners and others from the perspective that anti-oxidants are harmful to us, they are industries pet preservative. Our oils should not need anti-oxidants, they have natural protections built in from the product and natural process. ...... Read full blog article for complete discussion and how to win the book
Antioxidants Linked To Deadly Unintended Consequences: PhD, Prof Randolph M. Howes MD: 9781470008758: Amazon.com: Books
Dr. Howes presents over 500 scientific reports showing the ineffectiveness of common antioxidants and of these, over 170 studies show harmful effects. This should not be surprising, since our very survival depends on imperative oxidative biochemical pathways. Dr. Howes discusses seven crucial oxidative pathways, including pathogen protection, cancer protection, wound healing, energy production, detoxification, immunity and cellular signaling, which can be blocked or interfered with by "antioxidant stacking or overkill." Thus, it is a no-brainer that antioxidant overload can cause inadvertent harmful maladies and also cause increased risk of death (overall mortality). Antioxidants can act as "dirty bombs" and non-specifically interfere with essential oxidative processes. Preservatives increase antioxidant exposure and this is rapidly contaminating our environment, due to the desire to prevent spoilage (rancidity, discoloration, foul odors, etc.) of common foods and preserve feed supplies of animals, such as cattle, pigs and fish. Antioxidant food fortification is commonplace and genetic modification to augment antioxidant content of foods is on the rise. This book is the world's largest selective collection of antioxidant reports and the cited studies include over 16 million human participants. Thirty two major medical/scientific organizations do not recommend the use of antioxidant supplements but suggest getting them for fresh fruits and vegetables. Dr. Howes has discovered that antioxidants can shield or protect 27 different cancer cell types in the laboratory and 9 murine (rodent) cancer cell types from being killed. Yet, millions of cancer survivors are encouraged to take potentially dangerous doses of antioxidant supplements on a daily basis. Please educate yourself to the inherent dangers of antioxidant overkill. Be smart. Be safe. Dr. Howes presents the downside of antioxidant overloading and exposes the mythology behind aggressive advertising campaigns pushing antioxidant overuse. Dr. Howes convincingly presents overwhelming data which clearly invalidates and nullifies the free radical theory and points out its failure to meet the requirements of the scientific method. The erroneous free radical theory lacks predictability and reproducibility. All antioxidant studies have been based on the flawed free radical theory. Hence, hundreds of studies have failed to show effectiveness or safety of antioxidant use in humans. It is time to move past the debunked free radical theory and to appreciate the many benefits of electronically modified oxygen derivatives (EMODs, previously called reactive oxygen species, ROS). EMODs are essential to normal homeostasis and human survival. Without them we would rapidly succumb, just as we would summarily die without a constant supply of ground state di-radical oxygen. We are, indeed, obligate aerobes. Please do not overlook this most essential fact.
I hear some people claim that one brand of coconut oil is better than another because it has a higher lauric acid content. Is this true?
Fats and oils are composed of fat molecules known as fatty acids. The character of each fat or oil is determined by the amounts and the types of fatty acids it contains. Coconut oil is composed predominately of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA). This is what makes coconut oil so different from other fats and what makes it incredibly healthy.
Medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) provide many health benefits: they are quick and easy to digest, boost energy, balance blood sugar, and protect against cancer, among other things. One of their most remarkable features is their ability to kill disease-causing bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Because of these antimicrobial properties coconut oil is used as a natural antibacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal remedy. Since coconut oil is a food, it is harmless to us but is effective in killing many microorganisms that cause illness.
15-20 years ago I read a book on the pending Ebola epidemic. This subject has always been rolling around in the back of my head. Someday, i think, the topic will be real.
I'm sure I am not the only one that has this topic circling in the brain and the 'what if'.
Thought it would be a fun discussion for all to share their Ebola plan and discussion points on the topic. I'll put mine down later in post....First 10 posts I will send out a free gift (lower 48 states only). Not sure what it will be or how I will coordinate until next wk. I'll post next wk what I will send as a personal gift and how to collect.
Couple points/observations on discussion
* I don't think i read one post that indicated how Western medicine paradigm will impack their plan nor how Obama care will be part of the family action plan.
Once this disease or some other 'pandemic' disease is identified within a family unit it is my guess your individual rights will no longer exist. You will not have a choice on how you will be treated and by who. The family will be quarantined without the ability to object or choose how they will be treated during the quarantined period.
Boosting immune system through: Food, super food suppliments, gut health and additude health (ones head/additude is at least 50% of immune/health system). These should assist survival rate i would think, but i don't think these concepts prevent a virus infection.
Correct me if i am wrong but a virus can be stopped through previous exposure and limit its effect based on ones cell membrane health and over health/immune system....correct? Without previous exposure a virus can not be 'stopped' from taking off once one is exposed to the virus.
If above is correct then one needs to implement a plan of mind/body health so if exposed to the disease the potential damage by western medicine and / or the virus is limited.
Here are a few points to coinsider in a family prevention plan based on the above description of a virus action and possible limitations of personal/family action points once exposed to a pandemic virus; Sanitary conditions, limit time and exposure in public places, no public transit, understand the incubation period, work from home if possible, do not shake hands with people, wear gloves and know how to handle potentional contaminated items, no eating out, no sleeping in hotels, supply of food, clean supply of water, etc...
What do you think? Add to this list or make comment to redirect above to include other considerations
My wife, Barb, brought up story on the Black Plague she recalls. A town in Europe never had a case of the Plague. They credit this feat because of the fields of lavender around the town. Anyone recall this tale? The plague is credited to a bacteria but some theorize it was a virus.
Many posts discuss homeopathy and essential oils/plants to treat a virus. Do any of these prevent a virus? If so which ones and what is the mode of action that prevents a virus from getting into a cell and replicating?
What nutrients are most responsible for strengthening cell walls/membrane? i know i read Omega 7 is involved. i researched this years ago when looking at the fats on FCLO. FCLO is about 7% Omega 7. And i think Vitamin A is involved with cell development as well.... replicating cells? If anyone would like to add to this topic.
Click to see the short clip on subject discussed at the UN several years ago....
My Oldest daughter and I just discussed this topic a day prior to my stumbling on this clip. She was telling me all about global warming. My side of the discussion centered on my unwillingness to consider the discussion until it is fully disclosed why and what they are spraying (chemtrails) and how this may or may not play into the 'global warming' discussion. This clip takes place at the UN, I think, and the very same discussion points are raised... enjoy
I posted an article on Vitamin D earlier in the wk for the community as I thought it to be useful for discussion/interest on the pathway for vitamin D. Almost 100% of the articles published in media medicine discuss Vitamin D isolates including the article "The Vitamin D Epidemic..." Not all articles on the blog do I agree 100% but rather post for general discussion... I don't have to agree with the points/discussion. Below article is posted for discussion related to the objection of Vitamin D isolates and related topics. The interview is with Chris Kresser. For those of you that do not know of Kressers work please visit his website www.chriskresser.com... well worth your time
Surprising New Vitamin D Research
By Chris Kresser May 22, 2013
So I want to talk about a couple different things today, and we’re going to start with vitamin D.
There’s a lot of new research coming out that is pretty surprising, I think, to many of us who’ve been following this issue for a while, perhaps more surprising to people who’ve been recommending really high levels of vitamin D.
For the last several years I’ve been warning against excessively high levels of vitamin D for some of the reasons we’re going to talk about today, but there’s a lot of controversy about this.
The science is definitely mixed and inconsistent, and the jury is certainly not out.
Vitamin D deficiency is now recognized as an epidemic in the United States. The major source of vitamin D for both children and adults is from sensible sun exposure. In the absence of sun exposure 1000 IU of cholecalciferol is required daily for both children and adults. Vitamin D deficiency causes poor mineralization of the collagen matrix in young children’s bones leading to growth retardation and bone deformities known as rickets. In adults, vitamin D deficiency induces secondary hyperparathyroidism, which causes a loss of matrix and minerals, thus increasing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. In addition, the poor mineralization of newly laid down bone matrix in adult bone results in the painful bone disease of osteomalacia. Vitamin D deficiency causes muscle weakness, increasing the risk of falling and fractures. Vitamin D deficiency also has other serious consequences on overall health and well-being. There is mounting scientific evidence that implicates vitamin D deficiency with an increased risk of type I diabetes, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, cardiovascular heart disease, and many common deadly cancers. Vigilance of one’s vitamin D status by the yearly measurement of 25-hydroxyvitamin D should be part of an annual physical examination.

Green Pastures has several dozen dentists as customers, Dr. Alvin Danenberg is one. He is located in Charleston SC.
Dentists willing to discuss nutrition in relation to mouth health are few and far between so if your family dentists is one of the 'good ones' share the information with others. If you would like to post dentists names and cities to assist others looking for a good dentist please do so within the comment area of this blog. Our Family Dentist is Dr. Lewer in Omaha NE.
You Can Stop Gum Disease
This is a mighty big statement that requires an explanation.
Alvin H. Danenberg, DDS Practice Limited to Periodontics
First, think about this question: If there were a species whose only means of getting nutrition was by chewing food, and if this species had rampant tooth and gum disease causing the loss of those precious teeth, what would happen to that species over thousands of years of evolution?
The answer: This species would die off because it couldn’t survive over time.
Now consider this fact: Primitive man and woman from Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods rarely had gum disease or tooth decay. Why is that?
Received below note from Yvie. Thought I would share with the group. I receive many testimonials but as a manufacturing company we typically can not share. This one is different as it discusses an observation other than a specific disease. I think hair color change is hormonal effect..correct? I do receive other comments that surround hormonal discussion.
If you would like to share with the group on the topic of hormonal observations this is the blog... please click comment and post your notes. please do not use the names of diseases.
hello, since the end of october 2013 I am usinghttp://www.greenpasture.org/public/Products/CodLiverOil/ every day! The weird and great thing is.... I feel good and happy but also.....and this is really true.....I am silver grey haired since like 10 years... my ginger hair color is returning... more and more every week .... It is now up to the point that others even notice it.... So weird, so good.... you should use that fact on your website!! Greetings Yvie (56) from Holland
Note...my observation is everyone is unique and no two observations or reactions are the same. One can not conclude that if one person sees or feels this so will I. Some do better on skate liver oil rather than fclo etc...

Here is another in a line of articles on the topic of Diet, Crime and Delinquency. This paper was published in 1947 By Sir Albert Howard and in a '1984' like prophecy he predicts a link between future generational health and the destruction or change in farming practice ... which is all tied into our food chain.
On another note: Does anyone know a WAPF perspective or book review on Dr. D'Adamo's blood type work. Couple of books of his include: Eat Right for your Blood Typeand Change your Genetic Destiny. His web site is dadamo.com I'm wondering if his work might explain why some people are stronger with skate vs cod, others are stronger on cod and still others do best with both.

Phosphates, Behavior and Learning
"The West German study reported that the additive found to have an immediate effect of altering a child's behavior was phosphate.
Phosphate is a salt or ester of phosphoric acid. It is used in the food industry to emulsify and improve the consistency of its products. Sodium phosphate is in evaporated milk. Phosphorous insecticide residues are often found in salads. Phosphoric acid is used as a flavor in soft drinks, jellies, frozen dairy products, candy, brews, and soft cheese prododucts.......
A diet low in added phosphates is recommended by the University of Mainz Clinic for hyperkinrtic, impulsive or learning-impaired children. Their double-blind studies indicate that phosphate-free diets improve the behavior and learning performance of some behaviourally impaired children......"
The author goes on to describe a link between additives and actions, crime and delinquency and more study needs to be done especially linking crime to foods and industrial food model.
In addition he cautions against a complete blanket statement saying all additives are problems...more study needs to be done.
"All things are poisons, for there is nothing without poisonous qualities. It is only the dose which makes a thing a poison."
I'll add that because we are all individuals, with free will, the 'dose' the author describes above can be substantially different for each person.

Over the next few wks I will provide different articles on the subject of diet, delinquency and crime. If you have any articles or book reviews on subject please forward. Here is one excerpt and discussion from the book Diet, Crime and Delinquency by Alexander Schauss
Page 55 discusses The Feingold Diet and the book The Feingold Cookbook for Hyperactive Children. Post you comment. Does any of this below still ring true? If so which parts are good and parts that are no longer held in high regard.
In Dr Feingold’s new book The Feingold Cookbook for Hyperactive Children (1981), Two groups of foods are to be eliminated. Group 1....artificial color, artificial flavors... And additionally two anti-oxidant preservatives BHT and BHA are to be eliminated. (I will question other anti-oxidant/preservatives as today there are more variants than was available in 1981 and the list might need to be longer). To determine whether a food or beverage contains these ingredients, read the label. In certain cases, however, these compounds are not listed on the label. For example, BHT or BHA are added to synthetic vitamin D to prevent it from turning rancid. (Is this still true? This book is from 1981 and processes might be different today) Later these fat soluble vitamin containing BHT or BHA is added to milk as required by law. Most low fat milk also contains gylcerol monoleate, an artificial butter flavor used as an emulsifier (again, today might be different than 1981)...... continued on next page
Please take a moment to share with others on this subject; your personal experiences, do you use any of the above Feingold Formula and if so which parts do or do you not follow. What additional resources would you recommend for parents working on this subject within their families.
Ramiel Nagel - Hour 1 - Cure Tooth Decay May 23, 2013 Ramiel Nagel will talk about how to cure tooth decay and tooth infections. He’ll discuss the history of dentistry. The early findings of Dr. Weston A. Price, who founded what became the American Dental Association, have been largely suppressed and now dentistry has been turned into a very unsound and toxic industry. In the second hour we continue the story of dentistry, toxicity and how to heal your teeth naturally. Ramiel talks about sugar and high fructose corn syrup, the worst of them all. Are any sugar alternatives really better at all? Later, we’ll discuss amalgam fillings and how mercury leaches into the body from our teeth. Ramiel gives some tips on what to eat and what not to eat in order to remineralize your teeth. At the end, we also detail the options when it comes to dentistry and what you can do to make sure that you get a hold of a good holistic dentist if you need one.

Diluted seawater contains almost the same concentration of minerals and trace elements as blood plasma, and its sodium content matches that of blood. It has been used successfully in animal tests as a blood transfusion substitute, but human trials are long overdue.

Increased vitamin D levels appear to be linked with a decrease in the amount of vitamin K in your body, though it is not known if taking vitamin D directly affects vitamin K.

His note to me referencing two slides refers to the 2012 WAPF conference presentation. If you wish to purchase a copy of Dr. Hubers full presentation please visit www.westonaprice.org and inquire.
Dr Huber Spoke at the WAPF conference this past wk. If there is one presentation to buy this is the one. Dr. Hubers information is startling. If you have been following this story linking glyphosate and a new pathogen you will know the importance if his work. Here are a few tid bits; The 'New' Pathogen is close to being sequenced, maybe within the month more information on this story. The US has dipped 25% in human fertility rate in the last 5 years. 93% of US females have this pathogen in their system. It appears the pathogen will be a prion or prion like. The pathogen is the first of its kind in its ability to cross between plant, animal and humans with the same destructive force harming fertility of its host. It is directly associated with glyphosate and is harbored in the soil and our food chain.
One paraphrase from the talk '...we are on the brink of a calamity...risk of loosing an entire generation....'
I think the link to buy the talk by Dr Huber will be posted soon on the WAPF.org site.

From Huber's summary: "The introduction of such an intense mineral chelator as glyphosate into the food chain through accumulation in feed, forage, and food, and root exudation into ground water, could pose significant health concerns for animals and humans and needs further evaluation."

Studying gut bacteria can reveal a range of human illness. Now, new research shows that the composition of a person’s intestinal bacteria could play an important role in the development of type 2 diabetes. These results, from a joint European and Chinese research team, have just been published in the journal Nature.
The number of people suffering from type 2 diabetes world-wide has risen rapidly in recent years, and scientists estimate that just as many people could be suffering from the illness without realising it. New research now indicates that your gut bacteria can reveal whether you suffer from the disease

Last fall, Babble posted the 10 most unhealthy “health” foods marketed to kids. It’s encouraging to see mainstream web sites telling the truth about products from the food industry, and hopeful that more will be uncovered in the future. This is invaluable information all parents should have.
As parents, we are bombarded with information from companies about the products they sell. It can be overwhelming. What companies don’t tell us is that labeling is deceptive, and the claims made there usually don’t tell the truth about the food it represents.

(NaturalNews) The long-term health damage caused by the great H1N1 swine flu scam "pandemic" of 2009 -- and particularly the mass vaccination campaign that accompanied it -- is already becoming apparent in the form of an autoimmune disorder. A new review published in the journal Public Library of Science ONE confirms that Pandemrix, a swine flu vaccine produced by drug giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), is responsible for causing an up to 1700 percent increase in narcolepsy among children and teenagers under 17 years of age.
“While engaged in a clinical study of chronic hypoglycemia inpatients of all ages I was impressed with the fact that several patients gave histories of attacks of poliomyelitis with residual paralysis. It occurred to me that a disturbance in carbohydrate metabolism could be a factor in susceptibility to infection with the virus of poliomyelitis, especially since, during hypoglycemia, cellular oxdation will be reduced.”
APPLETON, Wisconsin -- A revolution has occurred. It's taken place in the Central Alternative High School. The kids now behave. The hallways aren't frantic. Even the teachers are happy. The school used to be out of control. Kids packed weapons. Discipline problems swamped the principal's office. But not since 1997. What happened? Did they line every inch of space with cops? Did they spray valium gas in the classrooms? Did they install metal detectors in the bathrooms? Did they build holding cells in the gym?
What would you think if I told you that young people today likely committed violent, criminal acts in partdue to poor nutrition. What if they continued those violent acts in prison as the poor nutrition continued? Reserve judgment for now. This is science - let's see what the data tells us. My theory is that our relatively nutrient-poor modern diets contribute to a great deal of modern psychopathology.
A lack of zinc in your diet may be making you aggressive.
Several years ago I ran across a fascinating article in Psychology Today which focused on the origin of violent behavior. Was it nature or nutrition? Could the underlying cause be in one’s upbringing or in their genes? Or just maybe it could be some type of nutritional imbalance.
Taking the nutritional stance was William Walsh, Ph.D. and his team at the Health Research Institute in Illinois. Walsh and his colleagues published a study in Physiology & Behavior(1997)where they compared the results of blood tests given to 135 “assaultive” young males—who were between 3 and 20 years of age—to those of 18 in the control group without any history of violence. The results were staggering: The violent males had higher copper and lower zinc levels than the control group. The higher the copper and lower the zinc, the more aggressive and violent the behavior.
When the aggressive young males were treated with therapeutic doses of zinc, their aggressive episodes were substantially lessened.
Chicago Tribune reporters Michael Hawthorne and Sam Roe
SCARE: Self-described as “one of the nation's most comprehensive studies of mercury in commercial fish,” a December 2005 Chicago Tribune report from Michael Hawthorne and Sam Roe claimed that a number of popular fish sold in Chicago markets and restaurants were “so tainted that federal regulators could confiscate the fish for violating food safety rules.” In a later editorial complaining about “Tuna Roulette,” the Tribune warned of “dangerous levels of mercury that can be found in many commonly consumed fish varieties” and called for an increase in FDA testing and food warning labels.
FACT: This report completely ignored the reality of the safety margins that are built into the FDA’s consumer advice. Fish samples exceeding the FDA’s mercury Action Level are not inherently unsafe to eat. According to Hawthorne and Roe, the highest mercury reading in its survey was a swordfish whose concentration was 3.07 parts per million. Considering the Action Level’s built-in safety factor, this is less than one-third of the level that might be harmful. No other species averaged above 1.0 part per million.
FACT: Despite their headline hyperbole, Hawthorne and Roe were unable to find a single sample of tuna that exceeded the mercury Action Level, which is itself just ten percent of what might be harmful.
Over the next couple wks i will post a few articles to 'stir the discussion pot' on the topic of mercury.. please post/share your comments
By steering consumers away from the fish counter and the canned tuna aisle, overblown warnings about trace mercury levels have directly and negatively impacted public health, especially the neurological development of children born to low-income mothers.
This report offers the first quantitative measurement of that impact.
In the last 6 months of 2011, 12 US residents in 5 different states (Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia) were found to be infected with this influenza A H3N2 variant virus that had genes from avian, swine, and human influenza viruses. Similar viruses have been found in the past in swine but only very rarely infected people. However, this virus, first detected in August, was a little bit different. It contained another genetic change: It had acquired the matrix (M) gene from the 2009 H1N1 pandemic virus.

Recent findings Vitamin D has been shown to have an immunomodulatory effect with a significant impact on immune function. Specifically, vitamin D regulates the mechanisms which suppress the inflammatory response and direct the differentiation fate of immune cells. Vitamin D has been shown to play an important role in asthma, and the concept of the unified airway model allows the extrapolation of vitamin D as a critical player in chronic rhinitis and rhinosinusitis. Summary Recent findings on the function of vitamin D may explain aspects of the pathophysiology of chronic rhinitis and CRS, and may help direct future treatment of these diseases.

It is the latest case of extreme government food tyranny, and one that is sure to have you reeling in anger and disgust. Health department officials recently conducted a raid of Quail Hollow Farm, an organic community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in southern Nevada, during its special "farm to fork" picnic dinner put on for guests -- and the agent who arrived on the scene ordered that all the fresh, local produce and pasture-based meat that was intended for the meal be destroyed with bleach.
It's almost time to say goodbye to the food your grandparents consumed, because genetically modified crops have spread their toxic attributes across the globe. As their damaged genetics spread, their potential harm is being denied, and scientists who speak out are persecuted.

I conducted a laboratory experiment in 1989 in which I planned to discover how much, if any, mercury stored in animal's bodies when they ate raw and cooked swordfish. I chose swordfish because it is considered to contain highest levels of mercury, and because it is my favorite-tasting fish. I wanted to know if I had been contaminating myself with that delicious tasting fish.
The best science indicates that trace amounts of mercury in the fish Americans eat simply aren't high enough to pose a health risk. But measuring only mercury further exaggerates this hypothetical risk. There's another scientific wrinkle that few environmental groups are talking about -- largely because it doesn't help to promote their scare campaigns. An accurate picture of the health consequences of eating fish must include other substances that affect the way mercury interacts with the human body.

I found this interesting article... Good for general discussion. The discussion about urine therapy in this type of article is encouraging.
In addition the discussion or debate about levels of vitamin D in blood samples is relevant for debate as the article points out. Real FCLO is different from other cod liver oils as there are many types of D and none of the types are made or extracted and added into the product as other supplements/foods are treated for labeling purposes.
I just don't think we have the knowledge to make conclusions about this molecule or that molecule in relation to natural medicine. So the debate goes on.....
While there are many taxonomies of alternative medicines, one thing almost all alternative therapies have in common is they are originally the de novo discovery of one lone individual. Working outside of the mainstream, they are the gadflies who see farther because those around them are midgets.

(NaturalNews) As though joining a noble cause, some pediatricians in the U.S. are making the decision not to see patients, who are unvaccinated, and are calling upon colleagues to do the same. Ironically, one reason given, and feigning great heroism in its expression, is to keep waiting rooms free of "diseased patients". The reality, however, is quite different. Outbreaks of diseases commonly vaccinated against are most often found in individuals, who have received the vaccine. Dr. William Atkinson, senior epidemiologist with the CDC confirmed this fact when he reported: "Measles transmission has been clearly documented among vaccinated persons. In some large outbreaks...over 95% of cases have a history of vaccination <http://www.naturalnews.com/vaccination.html> ." This is true with regards to other diseases as well.
After trucking across the high plains for five hours, and casting my eyes over perhaps 100,000 acres or more of winter’s still deathly gray industrial farmland, I came face to face with the newly famous Dr. Don M. Huber in the cave-dark meeting room of the Black Horse Inn just outside the American Heartland village of Creighton, Nebraska.
On the morning of March 24, along with about 80 farmers and Extension agents, I listened as Huber discoursed with erudition and eloquence upon industrial farming practices that may be impacting nearly every morsel of food produced on the planet, and that subsequently may also be having staggeringly serious health consequences for plants, animals, and human beings.
Huber is emeritus soil scientist of Purdue University, and a retired U.S. Army Colonel who served as an intelligence analyst, for 41 years, active and reserves. In Nebraska, he stood ramrod straight for three hours with no notes and spoke with an astonishing depth and range of knowledge on crucial, controversial matters of soil science, genetic engineering, and the profound impact of the widely used herbicide glyphosate upon soil and plants, and ultimately upon the health of animals and human beings.

Plant diseases are a major limitation to improved production efficiency and crop quality as they reduce nutrient availability, uptake, distribution, or utilization by the plant. Disease symptoms frequently reflect the altered nutritional status of the plant and it is frequently difficult to clearly distinguish between the biotic and abiotic factors involved.

The Blood test is supposed to detect even 1 part per x million of cells. i don't recall the exact statistic but in a nut shell it will make it easier to diagnose more and more people with cancer at lower and lower detection limits.
Bullet points to consider:
1. Our current insurance system could barely keep up with current medical costs and technology. This is why we are moving towards a tax payer and debt payment system.
USDA Certified Organic’s Dirty Little Secret: Neotame
By Barbara H. Peterson
Just when we thought that buying “Organic” was safe, we run headlong into the deliberate poisoning of our organic food supply by the FDA in collusion with none other than the folks who brought us Aspartame. NutraSweet, a former Monsanto asset, has developed a new and improved version of this neurotoxin called Neotame.
I received a call from a bio-chemist who works in the filed of biotic fertilizers. He read the article on raw milk as fertilizer that circled the globe and called to offer his help in describing what we have in the raw milk as fertilizers.
Below are some bullet points to the discussion
1. Soil will have between 3-4,000# of bacteria per acre (this can vary depending on sprays, soil type, temps etc...)
While the application of scientific knowledge creates technology, sometimes the technology is later redefined by science. Such is the case with terahertz (THz) radiation, the energy waves that drive the technology of the TSA: back scatter airport scanners.
Below came from posting on another blog. It was posted by someone who i consider one of the best natural teachers i have ever met. I thought many would appreciate her insights and approach to the question
At GreenPasture Products we are continually improving how we operate, which includes makingour web site and product labeling more useful to you. Based on customerfeedback and new FDA labeling standards, we are making changes to our labels and our web site to work together to provide a complete picture of our product’s nutritional information.
We have posted this previously but it has been some time. People do have a variety of reactions or observations taking oils. Here is one of my Email replies to this question. This person indicated that she feels sluggish or in general does not do as well taking the fclo.
"All are different, many get the opposite reaction. Strength stamina, euphoria etc...are common traits when taking FCLO.
Holomed in the Netherlands completed work with the EU Authorities including stringent testing and authentication of ALL Blue Ice and X-Factor Products. EU Approval is much more stringent than the rest of the world. There was never any doubt our products would pass as we have completed the same tests here is the US for 10 years without issue but the expense to work with the EU authorities is much more complex and costly than working with the US authorities.
The links below are a culmination of several years work on Sandrine Hahn's part. I think you will agree her dedication and work on the subject are truly important and deserve wide spread publicity and support. Please forward these links to as many as you can to share her work.
Below is an article that i would like to share. A few important points that jump out are:
1. Breast milk has more PCB's than Prop 65 Allows in Fish oils. We have never seen high PCB's in our FCLO nor have i seen any reported PCB levels as high as in breask milk. I assume their are some reported cases but my intuition is it would have come from lake/river fish or fish caught near river outlets and coastal industrial centers.
Do you pay attention to where your food comes from? Do you go to the grocery store and purchase whatever is on the shelf, or do you think about what’s in the food you eat and how it is produced?
Do you spend any time considering the preventative side of taking care of your body through the foods you eat? Do you spend a lot of time and money eating out at restaurants and fast food establishments, or do you devote more effort to preparing home-cooked meals with good ingredients at home?
The question about the roles of Vitamin A, Hormone D, other hormones and quinones comes up from time to time.
FCLO's role is high levels of fat-soluble nutrients including vitamins A, D, E, and K; quinones; enzymes; hormones; and fatty acids. The complex of these nutrients will be totally different in the butter oil versus the FCLO.
The Fatty Acid Complex is completely different as are the species collecting these nutrients. The hormone/steroid structure is directly related to the species and the fatty acid structure of the species’ diet.
Raw milk, which I prefer to call real milk, is very controversial today. This is a story of two kinds of milk: the swill milk made from distillery garbage that caused death; and the real milk from grassfed cows, that gave life. These two milks had a tremendous impact in the life of my grandfather, who became the first member of his family to be a dairy farmer...
In My Opinion, I would never discount real raw 100% grass fed butter . Eat as much as you can. There is no need to heat the raw butter to make ghee. I think raw butter is truly one of our whole sacred foods. If you don't mind the flavor, raw cultured butter is even better.

Two most asked questions: Why Fermented Cod Liver oil, Why High Vitamin Butter Oil
Fermenting fish/fish livers to make oils is an ancient practice, and the resulting oils were considered a sacred food. Fermented cod liver oil (FCLO) has been an important part of a typical family’s home for several hundred years.
I will attempt to scan the document quoted for more tid bits, here is the beginning of the Paper that I think is pointed to the topic. I receive many calls on EPA/DHA and i struggle with the question. The struggle is not about how much EPA/DHA the FCLO andf Skate have as they will have the same levels as any other CLO. Approx 15% of the oil will be EPA and 10% DHA for the FCLO. The Skate will be higher in DHA than FCLO.
Below you will see a few articles on the use of Raw milk for soil and plants. UNL did a initial study back in 2004. Their needs to be a continuing study including broadening the scope of the work. The proposed study will take 2-3 years at a cost of about $30,000 per year.
Below is an article that was published/discussed in many printed news, TV, radio, blogs this past wk. I think the publics interest in the story is good news for dairy farmers. What the article does not discuss is an observation made during the Field Day comparing side by side fields of milk spray and se salt mineral spray. Not only did the milk field appear to have more growth but the field was loaded in Tall Fescue.
Do you use fluoride toothpaste or drink tap water with fluoride in it? Does your dentist recommend fluoride treatments for your children when they have dental checkups? These common practices are what many people do and accept as a method of “preventative” dental care.
Do you suffer from allergies – whether they are seasonal or otherwise? Many people do, and the normal course of action for many who suffer allergies is to load up on prescription drugs and over-the-counter medication. But did you know that most allergies are due to a response by our immune systems caused by over-stimulation – that is, too many irritants in the body at once?
Dale Alexander (The King of Cod). discussed in one of his books ('How to End Dry Skin' i think is the name of the book) how ear wax production can be stimulated by taking clo. ' take 1 tablespoon of clo per day until your ear wax is flowing then stop or cut back'.
(NaturalNews) If you're really concerned about getting healthy and staying that way, then you have to be very concerned about what you're putting into your body. This means not only avoiding fast foods and other known junk foods, but it means that you have to be very aware of one of the worst of the more than 6000 chemicals that are added to foods today.
Great article... their is sooo much more to FCLO than vitamin D. Even the variety of forms of vitamin D is important.... keep in mind the below discussion of vitamin d supplementation is specifically discussing vitamin D3. real FCLO has some D3 but most of the measured D is D2.
Dr. Donald contacted me as he has had a few patients not test strong for FCLO. I have blogged previous that not everyone is the same and some do better on skate rather than FCLO. I do not know why this is true but i have heard this from more than one doctor. Dr. Louisa Williams (Author of Radical Medicine) commented during her WAPF Conference presentation that many of her patients test stronger with Skate vs FCLO.
I think Dr. Richard and PSC is on to something. Included in my phone call with him he advised his theory that Activator X is BrassinoSteroid. This theroy and steroid is directly related to the below article. Another point he made is that Brassinosteroid in the grass has to be consumed by an animal that has ability to digest forage for it to be useful to man. We can not eat the plant and receive the benifits of Brassinosteroid, but rather we have to eat the cow, cow milk, fish etc.... to receive the benifit of Brassino Steroid
"This article appeared in the March 10, 2010, issue of the Unterrified Democrat, a weekly newspaper published in Linn, Mo., since 1866. In addition to writing for the paper, Voss raises registered South Poll cattle on pathetically poor grass that he is trying desperately to improve.”
Nebraska dairyman applies raw milk to pastures and watches the grass grow
Hi -the fclo is working great for our kids on the spectrum. This is the first CLO that has been without side effects - no stims or tics. Dr. McBride says that is because it does not create free radicals in our kids' bodies. Also after six weeks of nightly enemas with bifidus added into the h20 for chronic constipation with my son we began giving the fruit attack fclo with 2 oz of fresh pressed carrot juice sweetened with one apple as indicated in the GAPS book/site- Matt is stooling, formed twice a day now - wow. Thanks for your great product.
As far as dosing goes, I have been asking patients to take 3ml or 3 capsules of fclo along with 2.5ml or 3 capsules of bo. What I have found is that for people in good health this works pretty well to raise vit D levels from the 10's-20's up to 40's-80's.
Great news, we have completed a international checkout system. You can now order direct from our web site with ease. In addition we have negotiated excellent air rates with Federal Express so please take advantage of the price and serivce we now offer.
Here is a collection both old and new ways to take 'Real' clo and bo. If you have some of your family's dosing success stories to share with the community please forward using the contact link on this web page and i will consider adding to the list.
1. Melt the butter oil in 1-2 ounces of warm water and mix with fermented clo and maybe a tea or lemon juice. down the hatch
2. take on a spoon with a little honey or maple syrup.
3. melt on oatmeal or similar
4. take straight up and enjoy the wake up energy the fermented clo provides to your senses
