To make our Concentrated Butter Oil, we only use butter made from milk produced by cows that have been grazing on rapidly growing green grass. Centrifugation is used to extract and concentrate the butter oil. Factors taken into consideration in the production of our Concentrated Butter Oil include the rate of grass growth, grass species, timing of grazing, climate, and extraction method.

History of Our Butter Oil
Dr. Weston A. Price first described the nutritional value of butter oil in his 1939 book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. Based on his pioneering work, we started over 15 years ago making this nutrient-rich product. Our blog Celebrating 15 Years of Making Butter Oil tells this story.
Nutrition and Oral Health
Nutrition plays an important part in the health of the human body. Dr. Weston A. Price showed how this is especially true for oral health. To learn more read our blog post The Fat-Soluble Vitamins Beat Cavities.

Frequently Asked Question
What is concentrated butter oil?
In 1939 Dr. Weston A. Price published his book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. In this landmark book he introduced the benefits of concentrated butter oil. He discovered what he referred to as fat-soluble “activators”, which seemed to improved absorption of nutrients in nutrient deficient individuals.
We at Green Pasture Products have revived Dr. Price’s discovery. We have replicated his careful farming and production methods so that we can share with you this wonderful nutrient-rich oil.
